Weight Control

July 12, 1991

Wesley,

I just wanted to thank you for your life changing help! My weight and my body size now feel within my control for the first time ever!

It's been over 4 months since I've eaten any ice cream, cookies, or chocolate. I feel so easy and not deprived seeing these things.

Thanks again, for your simple, painless approach. I just wish I'd tried hypnosis 10 years ago!

It's wonderful to run into people and have them notice my weight loss, and it hasn't stopped yet!

Much Love,
Karla Linden, NMT

P.S. I'm engaged!

Dear Dr. Anderson,

I am extremely pleased with the progress I'm making toward reaching my weight goals. I originally lost ten pounds during our first sessions in April. Since I returned in June for a maintenance visit, I've lost two more pounds. I'm so excited that I'm losing weight again! That means that I'm well on my way to success!

I'm sure that some people think that the concepts that you use to illustrate how one's mind relates to food are too simple. Well, I agree. Most things that actually work are fundamentally simple. Yet, simple doesn't mean easy. That's why we need you. You make this difficult task of losing weight (although it may be simple) easy.

I know that my subconscious mind has absorbed everything that you have imparted. I'm sure of this because my conscious mind will say that I want ice cream and tell me how good it is; but, when I actually taste it - it's not all that. I have even lost my yearning for doughnuts. And... Believe it or not , I've replaced sugar with Equal. It's not as sweet, yet it's even more satisfying. I suppose that knowing about how, when, what, and why makes a big difference in eating habits.

Lastly, I just wanted to let you know that the exercise in June, about the two parts of me agreeing to work together for one common goal has truly been a blessing. I have more peace about what I eat and the decisions are basically coming naturally. Yes, I have a "fat snack" once in awhile, but it balances out because it's not an everyday event.

Keep up the great work! If anyone asks me how I did it, I will definitely be referring them to you. God has given you a gift that surpasses human comprehension. Continue to bless others and He will bless you.

Sincerely,
Charmagne S. Blaze

Dear Dr. Anderson,

Just a note to lest you know how much I appreciate the help you have given me in controlling my eating habits. Your method certainly works! I have tried dieting more times than I could tell you, and that alone is definitely not the answer.

Your insights and just your being there for me have meant more than I can say! Thanks again.

September 16 1991,

Dear Wesley,

I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how much you helped me, not just in losing weight but so many connected areas. I realize losing the weight isn't the answer to all my problems, but is sure is nice to have one less problem. I know it is a permanent thing because I now see myself as a healthy thin person, not an overweight person.

Also, your suggestion to contact Cynthia helped greatly. Meeting L. and having something and someone to strive for really made the difference. When I first came to you on April 27, a Saturday, I weighed 202, and had a 41 inch waist. The reason I made the appointment was on the previous Saturday I had gone to a dinner and someone took photos. I looked at my face and was sick, my face was fat and saggy. I'm proud to say that as of today I weigh 170 and have a 36" waist. My goal is not to lose any more wt. but to reduce my waist to 34".

I now feel confident in almost all areas of my life, esp. meeting new people and (in) business. My clothes now fit and I'm almost to the point of buying the next size pants down. You made a comment to me and I wasn't sure at first, but you were right. I really didn't think I could have a loaf or bread and it last for a week. I used to gobble it up, not anymore. That is also true of all the other foods such as wheat thins, cookies, pies, cakes.

You were also right when you said to go slowly and build a new job, habit or relationship not on a foundation of sand, but one of solid stone. That's what I'm trying to do....

I set a target date of Sept 27, 1991 to be at a 36" inch waist (I've actually already reached it). It also is the date to have a job in a stable [company] or utility or agency. I realized I was totally incapable in handling the situation, so I turned it over to God....

I also went to Father Hickey at Corpus Christi. It was very helpful. He gave me several techniques for emptying or releasing my mind of negative qualities. He also suggested I take 30 minutes a say to go to a quiet place and just relax, don't think about anything. And he gave me some good pointers on how to pray.

...Again I just wanted to thank you for making such a difference in my life. I can't wait for the day very soon I can call you and tell you where God has guided me to work and who he has selected for me to develop a great relationship with, thanks.
